How do I install Windows 7 over Ubuntu The steps for booting Ubuntu alongside Windows 7 are as follows: Take a backup of your system. LINUX INSTALL BOOTLOADER ON USB HOW TO
The deliverable will be a simple guide on how to install the Vista bootloader to the USB thumb drive partition, how to get this bootloader to launch grub4dos so I can then create the files. The directions they give to make a usb, seems to be for windows, and old. that seems to be a bootable image file you image to usb, then boot. you download the iso image and use a tool like etcher, or the good old (and dangerous) dd command, and then the usb should be bootable. Then I have mounted sda2 (UEFI bootloader partison) and deletd a folder named Microsoft. Password reset CD/USB bootdisk: Instructions & image to download. A new menu should appear in GRUB, showing the boot options for that distro this is a GRUB menu. Also please make sure you have experience with creating boot entries with Vista bootloader and with grub4dos. Then I have deleted sda4, boot Debian from live USB, moved sda8 (Debian root partison) to free space on right side. Boot it in GRUB using the Parse ISOLINUX config (USB) option.

My budget for this project cannot exceed $40. Clover is a free and open source EFI bootloader which allows you to multi-boot Windows, Mac OS X and Linux on UEFI based computer, it can auto-detect all installed operating systems on the computer and displayed in the form of GUI menu for you to choose the operating system you want to start. My goal is that this partition will be booted by Chameleon 2 RC1 or 2 and it will launch grub4dos. The drive currently boots into the Chameleon Bootloader. One of the partitions needs to be a Fat16 or Fat32 partition that will have the Vista bootloader installed to the Partition Boot Sector (not the MBR)this partition will then fire up Grub4dos, where I will create a custom launch routines. My goal is to have a USB thumb drive with multiple partitions.
